據(jù)有關(guān)專家統(tǒng)計(jì)，在城市里，有30﹪的年輕人靠“啃老”過(guò)活，65﹪的家庭存在“啃老”問(wèn)題�！翱欣献濉焙芸赡艹蔀橛绊懳磥�(lái)家庭生活和社會(huì)發(fā)展的“第一殺手”。中國(guó)勞動(dòng)力素質(zhì)低下是削弱國(guó)家競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力的一個(gè)重要原因，這里邊“啃老族”貢獻(xiàn)的因素不容忽視。
為了保護(hù)華南虎，國(guó)家建立了多個(gè)自然區(qū)，以期為它們保留最后的棲息地。同時(shí)有關(guān)人士還進(jìn)行了野化圈養(yǎng)華南虎的嘗試。野生動(dòng)物適應(yīng)人類喂食的過(guò)程很容易，但想訓(xùn)練它們恢復(fù)野外覓食能力卻要困難得多。這與“啃老族”重新走向社會(huì)、學(xué)習(xí)獨(dú)立謀生本領(lǐng)的艱難過(guò)程非常類似。
隨著人們野生動(dòng)物保護(hù)認(rèn)識(shí)的加深，或許有一天，自然保護(hù)區(qū)會(huì)把禁止喂食野生動(dòng)物的警告摘下。然而“啃老族”卻可能仍然大量存在于我們的社會(huì)，今天參加高考的900多萬(wàn)同學(xué)中又會(huì)有多少人成為其中的一員呢?

Animals are natural resources that people have wasted all through our history. Animals have been killed for their fur and feathers, for food, for sport, and simply because they were in the way. Thousands of kinds of animals have disappeared from the earth forever. Hundreds more are on the danger list today. About 170 kinds in the United States aloneare considered in danger. Why should people care? Because we need animals, and because once they are gone, there will never be any more.Animals are more than just beautiful or interesting. They are more than just a source of food. Every animal has its place in the balance of nature. Destroying one kind of animal can create many problems. For example, when farmers killed large numbers of hawks, the farmers' stores of corn and grain were destroyed by rats and mice. Why? Because hawks eat rats and mice, with no hawks to keep down their numbers, the rats and mice multiplied quickly. Luckily, some people are working to help save the animals. Some groups raise money to let people know about the problem.
And they try to get the governments to pass laws protecting animals in danger. Quite a few countries have passed laws. These laws forbid the killing of any animal or planton the danger list. Slowly, the number of some animals in danger is growing.
