Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the English Speaking Competition for Grade 2005. (掌聲~~~) First of all, please allow me to introduce myself, your host for today. I’m Sammy from Class 6, Grade 2005.

There are all together 26 contestants to compete in today’s English Speaking Competition, all from Grade 2005. And this competition will be mediated by a panel of five judges. Also on the panel are “question masters” who will be responsible for raising questions of today’s contestants. Now, I have the great privilege of presenting today’s judges.

Ladies and gentlemen, Miss Liu, (掌聲~~~) welcome; Miss Luo, (掌聲~~~)welcome…OK, after introducing our judges, now let’s go over the rules of the competition.

Each of the contestants has 3 minutes to present a prepared speech and 2 minutes to answer questions raised by the judges.
(譯文：每位選手要進(jìn)行3分鐘的命題演講和2分鐘的回答。)
During the prepared speech, a staff member will raise a yellow board as a signal that there is half a minute left. Then, at the end of 3minutes, a red board will be raised to let the speaker know that the time has run out. So, please raise the red board. Thank you!

Hello， ladies and gentlemen. 先生們，女士們，你們好。 I am honoured to make a speech at this special moment. 我很榮幸在這個(gè)特別的時(shí)刻為大家演My topic today is 。。。。 我今天的演講題目是。。。。

開(kāi)頭：good morning everyone，do you think you can speak english fluently and attractively? and do you think you can control the english well? may be you will say, it doesn't matter weather we are good at english or not. but actually it is not.問(wèn)句開(kāi)頭能吸引人，后面就接你的正文。
結(jié)尾， you see, english is not an evil. if we can handle it well and it will help us a lot in opposite. it is a fantastic thing to love english, isn't it?......
