"You have never been to Jiangnan." Mo said this, "You write very poetic, but too fake." I read this water-seek girl in the eyes of this water-seeking cold and hot. Is it? I am also a little confused, what is Jiangnan? Finally, I went to Suzhou. It is unique to the Jiangnan Implication, Quiet, Anning. After the afternoon, the mother led me through the streets. There is no imagination, the Qinghe River Water is wearing the city, and there is no one leaf boating. I walked into this city, I found out that the poet's words were as deliberate. Walking, I saw a person sitting at the corner of the street. It's been to see it, it is the old man selling sugar gourd. I bought two strings with my mother, and sat down on the booth soldier. The elderly have been flowers through the year! He has a bronze face that is slightly vicissitudes because of long-term sun, but the eyebrows are laughing. Solarovance, the look is confused and soft, there is no customer, he smokes a smoke. Here, the hot tofu brain is coming, the stall owner is a forty-year-old woman, and the pine is loosened. Heads in a blue dark cloth, smiles with the Mandarin of the Mandarin, saying that there is no imagination of Wu Yinxue, listening to peace of mind. "Grandpa!" The crisp children slipped through the ear, a female baby who took the Yang jiao, jumping, and a fifth of a fifty-year-old mother stunned, stopped in front of the old man, cool smile : "The child is naughty, come to a bunch of sugar!" At the end, reach out a banknote handed the old man. The girl took over and clamped in the hands of the old man. The old man laughed, and touched the girl's head and took a sugar gourd in her hand: "I caught wow, otherwise I didn't have to eat!" Aunt also bled and patted it. The back of the child, whispered: "Go home." Then I laughed and turned away. A spoonful of warm tofu brain, listen to Suzhou dialect that you can't understand, look at the empty sunshine, lively child, as if there is a kind of heart feeling of this city, Only, I realized that the real Jiangnan is not just the same girl in the dark rainy alley, not only the Moon Bridge, which is the moon, the moon. More, is this usual life. Trivial bleak. Because, this is the real life. I'm close, I only know.

A. On March 2
B. On March 3
C. On March 5
D. On March 8
A. They’d better not go riding.
B. Riding a bike is a great idea.
C. It’s not good riding in the rain.
D. They can go riding half an hour later.
A. Why a company lost its customers.
B. Why a company went out of business.
C. How a company went from bad to worse.
D. How a company got out of its difficult situation.
June 8th
Dear Haiqing,
I hear you are very unhappy these days because your parents can’t afford to buy you some brand-name shoes and garments you like very much. And I write you this letter to share with you what I think about this matter.
To begin with, beauty is just skin deep. Don’t you think it silly to pay so much attention to your appearance? He is a shallow person who judges others by their appearance; in the same sense, he is a shallow person who thinks that a brand-name garment can add to his glamour. So please, just forget about those brand-name things. What really matters is not whether you wear brand-name shoes or garments but whether your clothes fit you. As a student, you have to wear the school uniform on the weekdays and to be honest, you look very smart in it. Then why do you have to bother to buy the expensive brand-name things?
Secondly, I know your parents are both average workers. Hard as they work, they don’t earn much. Despite this, they do their best to give you a lot of things on demand. Look at the callus on their hands and wrinkles on their faces, how can you have the heart to ask for more than they can afford, which will surely break their hearts? Remember, parents don’t owe us expensive summer camps; they don’t owe us Sony Walkman; nor do they owe us Nike shoes, If you really want those fancy things, you should take a part-time job to contribute to their purchase rather than ask your parents for money to add to their already heavy burden. Don’t you think so?
Thirdly, we have such a wide variety of things available these days which are both nice and inexpensive. What’s the point of paying much more for those brand-name things that are not much better? My friend, take my advice, and you’ll be a wiser consumer as well as a more considerate child to your parents.
Poverty, sometimes, is a good thing. It can test a person’s character and it makes a man out of a boy faster than anything else. Keep working hard, and you are bound to be able to afford those things in the near future. Now you may as well focus on your study. Anyway, wouldn’t it be funny for a would-be achiever to be so preoccupied with brand-name things all day long?
Keep in touch.
Yours
Huangping
Today, more and more English words find their way into the Chinese language. Even the
Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese includes 239 English words. Some people support it while others do not.
Generally, I am in favour of the inclusion. As the number of English learners is on the rise, it’s not difficult for them to understand these words in Chinese contexts. Besides, it is, on some
occasions, more convenient to use English words. Most people nowadays use “IT” instead of its translation “xinxi jishu.” In our global village, we can see that it’s not uncommon for one language to borrow words from other languages. In English, there are many words borrowed from Latin, French, or even Chinese. In fact, Chinese has
never stopped taking words from other languages, say, “ganbu” or “minzhu” from Japanese.
So, it’s safe to conclude that it is reasonable to include English which facilitates daily communication.
反對(duì):
With English words getting popular in both media and daily life, a Chinese dictionary has included 239 of them, leaving the public divided into two opposing groups: “For” and “Against.”I tend to take the “Against” side for two reasons. Firstly, this inclusion has actually polluted our mother tongue. Sooner or later, many English accents will rise and fall with the four Chinese tones. And, rules don’t tell us how to pronounce such English-turned Chinese words as “wifi” and “Out” in a Chinese way! Secondly, such an inclusion may give rise to prejudices of the educated against those with little knowledge ofEnglish. Just for one illustration, while college students take “Bye-bye” for granted when parting from each other, it may
unconsciously hurt the feelings of someone who is used to “zaijian.”
In short, not only has the inclusion poisoned Chinese, it may also bring about distance between the Chinese people.

On-line voting becomes increasingly popular, and many competitions get people involved in it. It is beneficial to some people, while it puts others into a dilemma over whether to vote or not.
In my opinion, on-line voting is an inseparable part of modern life and should be welcomed, since it is no more than a way to participate in public life. It makes no difference from ordinary voting events, in which candidates go around to seek supports. In addition, the Internet makes surveying and voting easy and convenient, regardless of time and space. Furthermore, voting on the Internet makes instant feedback possible.
To be honest, voters sometimes feel annoyed, not because they hate voting, but because they are divided between emotion and fairness. Things will turn for the better if we can work out some participation rules for people to obey. Therefore, I hold a positive attitude towards on- line voting.

Dear Cathy, I am writing to you to share my opinions on fashion with you, for I have just heard that you were depressed because you couldn't afford the best(famous) brands. I shall say that it is natural for everyone to pay much emphasis on his own image. And it is true that stylish clothes, shoes or something like those will make one more fashionable and eye-catching.
However, everybody has his(her) own family background, and it is really extravagant for you to buy the famous brands. Besides, it will also add to the burden of your parents. What's more, beauty is just skin deep.
There are many things which can make you popular with others except fashion. A great amount of knowledge, noble character and a warm heart will surely win others' respect and admiration. Good qualities are the treasure in your life which is more valuable than anything you wear. Never judge a person by the appearance. I hope that you will remember the saying and become as happy as you used to be. Yours,Jane。
Grasping the knowledge of those youngsters with na?ve faces raising their hands high and expecting to inform their teachers of their novel answers from the picture, I could not help envying them, since our childhood was considerably different from theirs.
Once we entered the primary school, we were instructed by teachers to keep both our hands on our backs and were forbidden to talk or move hands freely when they were speaking, which led to our uneasiness in class and deprived us of similar smiles on the picture. The divergence, I believe, should be attributed to the different educational system and concept between China and western countries.
While they are encouraged to give full play to their creativity and curiosity, not willing to learn and instilled with a large amount of knowledge in order to obtain the admission letters from established universities and companies. Thus we are cultivated into identical “top-students” instead of creative individuals. Therefore, I eventually conclude that the next generation of our nation should be granted with more freedom to fully tap their potential and become all-round people.

All the people want to stay in good health. Health is better than wealth. It is true that health is the first step to success. Imagine this, if you’re sick, all you can do is to stay in bed and do nothing at all,
how can you chase after your dreams? But if you’re in good health, you can overcome the adversities you ever encounter and make your dreams come true. Since health is so important for everybody, how can we maintain and enhance our health? There are some useful suggestions:
First of all, we should lead to a regular life. Early to bed and early to rise makes a healthy man. Do not stay up late. Some people love to play cell phones games or reading electronic-books before sleep, this can be bad for the health. We should remember to turn off the phones before sleep.
Second, don’t be too particular about food. Try to eat more fruit and vegetables and less sugars and soft drinks. If you want to eat a bar of chocolate, eat an apple instead. If you want to drink milk tea or coffee, drink water instead. Don’t eat too much meat in one week. Last but not least, we should do exercise everyday.
There are many exercises for us to choose. Such as, swimming, jogging, square dancing, playing badminton and so on. Doing exercise can increase the circulation of blood and enhance our immune system. The one who in better immune system, the less disease he will have.
In conclusion, if we pay close attention to our health, we can avoid getting sick. Try to sleep earlier, eat more fruit and vegetable, drink more water, and do exercise everyday. You will realize that it’s not that hard to stay in good health.

My Life on Campus Is Interesting The Classroom, Canteen, Dormitory, and Library constitute my whole life on campus. Many classmates often say to me, “Your life on campus must be so boring and monotonous!” I don't deny that it really used to be; but now I have found it is interesting. When I was a freshman, everything on campus was new to me in this strange environment. I felt so perplexed. I always heard words in my head that said, “The only person you can depend on is yourself.” Actually, on campus you have many choices in which to spend your daily life; such as Games online, Sports, Shopping, Studying, and so on.
Of course, different people have different interests. As for me, I had the same thoughts as many college students. I was old enough to control my time. The hellish middle school has passed and it was time to have fun. I went online every day, meeting the same people and chatting the same topics. I watched the same movies so many times that I knew the plot without watching the ending. A month later, my eyesight was becoming weaker, my head ached, and my ears had a continual ringing sound. I had a feeling that I was going to die. Truly I was afraid that it was going to happen. I lost my enthusiasm for those activities.
Then I accompanied several friends shopping, bought what I needed, and ate what I wanted. After going back to my room, I lay in bed recalling what I had done. Amazingly, besides some fashionable clothes and delicious food I was only tired. “Is that all there is to life?” I asked myself. My soul answered “No!” I awakened from a long dream and one year had past. People always say “If you can defeat yourself, you are the final winner.” I was enlightened by that thought and I began to regard myself as the enemy and took study as the weapon and the library as my battlefield. However, the weapon was too heavy and the battlefield was too quiet.
I suffered much during that time. Yet fortunately, I stuck to it, went through the darkest times, and I have now seen the dawn. Where there was pain, now there's joy; where there was weakness, I found strength. Classroom, a place where I can excel, interact with teachers and students, and I can absorb as much knowledge as is possible. The Canteen provides me energy so I can keep fit. The Dormitory provides good sleep where I can travel in my dreams.
The Library is a large battery where I can recharge myself. All things work together. I am enriched; therefore, my life on campus is very interesting。

My grandfather is very kind to me. He loves me very much. I am the apple of his eye, but when it comes to my study he is very strict. Every day he spends more than one hour examining my homework. With his help, I have been doing well in my studies.

After school this afternoon, on my way home I met two American friends who lost their way. They forgot the way to the hotel where they stayed. As I knew where the hotel was, I decided to take them there. On the road, we talked a lot. I told them about the great changes in the city, such as the wider road, the more convenient transportation, the fresher air and so on. I also introduced that now Chinese students needn‘t spend most of their time on textbooks any more, because they didn‘t have as much homework as before. In their spare time, they could choose whatover they like to learn. The American friends told me something about the American youth as well.
It was late when I got home, but I was very happy. Because I not only helped American friends, but also realized the importance of learning a foreign language well.

The table above revealed an overall picture of employment satisfaction. Based upon the data of the table, most people under 40 are unclear or dissatisfied with their job, and 64% of those between 40 to 50, are not satisfied and no one feel satisfied at all. For people over 50, the degree of satisfaction largely exceeds the other groups, amounting to 40%.
Such difference may be rooted in the following reasons. First, middle-aged people face more pressure to support the family, both the children and the senior, so that they neglect to enjoy in work. Second, the senior citizens has developed a lot in personality, so they are more prone to see the optimistic aspects of the work. Last, the conclusion that the current society patterns pose more challenges to the middle aged group under 50.
Hold to Your Dreams
Everyone has his dreams, but not all these dreams can e true. People give up their dreams for this or that reason. Those whose dreams bee true have at least one thing in mon, that is, they always hold fast to their dreams.

Marie Curie, a famous scientist, has set a good example. In 1898, Marie found a new element in the pitchblende. In order to prove her discovery, she must get it and show it to the world. Then to get the new element became her dream and goal of her life. After four years hard work and refinement of tons of pitchblende, Marie and her hus-band at last saw the dim blue light of the new element -- radium. Her dream had e true. There are many other examples. Just around us, for instance, the athletes who gain the gold medals, the artists who are popular with the public, and even the students who enter tile university after years of hard study and preparation, are all dream-holders.
Hold fast to your dreams, no matter how big or small they are. The path to dreams may not be smooth and wide, even some sacrifices are needed, but hold on to the end, you ,sill find there is no greater happiness than making your dream e true.

i hope that there isn’t discrimination everywhere . i hope we will have a nice and equal world.
i hope there ist’t war in the world.
hope the most beautiful word in the world.
everyone has the right to hope.
as for me i hope there is not war in the world in the future and people all over the world live with each other peacefully
i hope there is not any one who suffer from famine and disease
everyone live a healthy life for ever
i hope men love their wife, people love their country, parents love their children, no body quarel with others.
i hope disabled people will recover their health
i hope the men with virtue end up a perfect and happy life
the road to heaven is paved with good hopes
i don't agree with this point.
first,as we all know, the competition among the students become more and more stiff, and usually a family put their all hope on their only child ,and going into a good university is a very important thing to a student even to the family, because it means the child can get a good future.if a student can go to a university without taking any entrance examination, that's too unfair to others.
second ,i very doubt the reason of a celebrate can be admitted to a university without text, why? how can he be different with others? just because he is famouse?why not anyother's student who has great telant can be admitted to a university by free?
that's all.

July 17th Fine
Today I did a thing that was well worth doing although I was misunderstood at the beginning.
This morning on my way to school, I was riding when I heard a call for help. A girl fell into the river! I got off my bike, took off my clothes and jumped into the river. After a few minutes' struggle, I finally saved the girl, I informed the girl's parents and then hurried to school. But I was still late for class. Not knowing the reason, the teacher criticized me.
In the afternoon, the girl's parents came to my school and thanked me for having saved their daughter. After the teacher learned the whole thing,he made an apology to me. And the headmaster praised me and also called on all the students to learn from me. I felt very proud.

Parents everywhere praise their kids. Jenn Berman, author of The A to Z Guide to Raising Happy and Confident Kids, says, “We’ve gone to the opposite extreme of a few decades ago when parents tended to be more strict.” By giving kids a lot of praise, parents think they’re building their children’s confidence, when, in fact, it may be just the opposite. Too much praise can backfire and, when given in a way that’s insincere, make kids afraid to try new things or take a risk for fear of not being able to stay on top where their parents’ praise has put them.
Still, don’t go too far in the other direction. Not giving enough praise can be just as damaging as giving too much. Kids will feel like they’re not good enough or that you don’t care and, as a result, may see no point in trying hard for their accomplishments.
So what is the right amount of praise? Experts say that the quality of praise is more important than the quantity. If praise is sincere and focused on the effort not the outcome, you can give it as often as your child does something that deserves a verbal reward. “We should especially recognize our children’s efforts to push themselves and work hard to achieve a goal,” says Donahue, author of Parenting Without Fear: Letting Go of Worry and Focusing onWhat Really Matters. “One thing to remember is that it’s the process not the end product that matters.”
Your son may not be the best basketball player on his team. But if he’s out there every day and playing hard, you should praise his effort regardless of whether his team wins or loses. Praising the effort and not the outcome can also mean recognizing your child when she has worked hard to clean the yard, cook dinner, or finish a book report. But whatever it is, praise should be given on a case-by-case basis and be proportionate(相稱的) to the amount of effort your child has put into it.
Parents tend to go to extremes when it comes to praising their kids. (要點(diǎn)一) Yet, both too much and too little praise can be equally damaging. (要點(diǎn)二) When giving praise, parents should be sincere and concentrate on the process instead of the result. (要點(diǎn)三) Similarly, they ought to give praise for how much effort their kids have invested in the work they’re involved in. (要點(diǎn)四)
