　　He closed his tired eyes for a while, then checked the time. Everyone in the office should be gone by now, he thought. He got up and walked around the quiet office. Just as he expected, there was nobody in sight in the neuroscience department. He then peered into the main hallway. Complete stillness. He quickly scrambled down the hallway towards the chemistry department. Right after the keypad on the door gave access, he heard noise echoing down the hall. It was too late to turn back. He entered the office and quietly closed the door.

　　老師給我們布置了一個(gè)作業(yè)，就是要學(xué)習(xí)一首英文歌，這個(gè)作業(yè)說簡單也不簡單，說難也不難，其實(shí)我還是挺喜歡英語的，但是我從來沒有唱過英文歌啊。

　　老師讓每個(gè)人都準(zhǔn)備一首英文歌，因?yàn)閷W(xué)校有個(gè)活動(dòng)，到時(shí)候老師會(huì)選幾個(gè)人上臺(tái)表演，不管選不選我，還是要好好準(zhǔn)備的，我在網(wǎng)上搜索了一些好聽的'英文歌。

　　聽著都很好聽，但是唱起來好難啊，很多單詞我都不認(rèn)識(shí)，而且節(jié)奏很快，完全跟不上。我又重新搜索了一下適合小孩子唱的英文歌，我覺得小星星不錯(cuò)，而且這首歌比較好唱，大家也都耳熟能詳。

　　我先聽了好多遍，熟悉了一下歌曲的旋律，然后開始學(xué)習(xí)歌詞，先把歌詞中的每個(gè)單詞都弄清楚應(yīng)該怎么發(fā)音，然后歌曲唱一句，我跟著學(xué)一句。

　　學(xué)了大概一個(gè)小時(shí)，終于可以唱了，明早還是繼續(xù)練習(xí)一下。

　　第二天老師遠(yuǎn)了幾個(gè)人唱了一下，我也被選上了，剛開始上臺(tái)還是有些緊張的，但是看著臺(tái)下熟悉的同學(xué)和老師，還有鼓勵(lì)的掌聲，自己也就不那么害怕了。

　　老師還給我們每個(gè)人都發(fā)了獎(jiǎng)狀，真的好開心，以后有這樣的機(jī)會(huì)還要參加。

Later my mother found the truth and she had gave up asking me to learn ballet. Now I feel regretful, if I insist, I could be the girl that let my parents be proud of.
