While the official Earth Day is April 22, I think every day is a time to act to protect our earth. Here at Tread Light Gifts, we are always finding new ways to give back to the earth while doing business. Some of the things we do throughout the year include:

　　In our office and business, we employ eco-friendly practices by using recycled, recyclable, biodegradable, post-consumer, and/or all-natural materials, and using efficient energy, and minimal toxic chemicals whenever possible

　　Purchasing carbon offsets for our company vehicle. While conservation (driving less, lowering the thermostat) is key to reducing carbon dioxide emissions, purchasing carbon offsets can balance out 100% of the emissions you can’t eliminate through conservation.

　　Donating 1% of our annual revenues to environmental and social justice organizations. We take pride in knowing that as a company we are helping the earth become a better and safer place to live.

　　“日月如梭，光陰似箭”，不知不覺中，我從一個說話咿咿呀呀的幼兒，長成了一個講英文都很流暢的巧嘴小姑娘。

　　那天，我報名參加了“英語趣配音大賽”。

　　比賽在農(nóng)校演播大廳進(jìn)行，我早早來到了賽場熟悉環(huán)境，嘴里不停地練習(xí)著賽前的自我介紹。

　　比賽快開始了，小李老師剛跟我們說完了比賽規(guī)則，兩位主持人便閃亮登場了。他們用清脆流利的英語開場之后，比賽正式開始。

　　哎？怎么跟我一起學(xué)英語的兩位同學(xué)和我一樣都是A組��？好在我是A6最后一個號”。好想聽聽B、C組的選手怎么讀，也好參謀參謀啊……我的心里不住地在打鼓。

　　第一位參賽同學(xué)上場了，她向大家自我介紹后，開始了趣配音，有點(diǎn)小緊張，畢竟是第一個選手啊，配音完畢后，我不由替她長呼了一口氣。

　　第二位同學(xué)是我認(rèn)識的張煜謹(jǐn)同學(xué)，她講的時候，我用心聽她有沒有讀錯的和漏掉的內(nèi)容。

　　一會功夫就輪到了另外一位同學(xué)李源卿。我滿懷期待地聽著他的配音“功夫熊貓”，感受他的'語速、語調(diào)、情感的把握，自己好借鑒一下。

　　“下一位A5號選手請上場，A6號準(zhǔn)備”主持人話音一落，我緊張的心情無以言表，心都快要跳出來了。在5號配音快結(jié)束時，我又默默回憶了一下自己的內(nèi)容。

　　這時，主持人宣布：“請A6號選手上場……”我便懷著緊張而又興奮的心情走向賽臺。面帶笑容向評委和觀眾做了自我介紹，然后開始了配音“我們一起捉迷藏”……配音播放完畢后，聽到臺下響起了熱烈的掌聲，我邁著輕松的步伐回到了自己的座位。

　　激烈的比賽進(jìn)行了將近兩個小時才結(jié)束。

　　主持人報了前三名的獲獎名單，卻沒有我，我的心揪緊了。

　　直到老師報優(yōu)秀獎時，才點(diǎn)到我的名字，我的心里一陣失落，我忍住傷心對自己說：“不能灰心，只要繼續(xù)努力，就一定能取得好成績�！�
