Everyone has a lot of dreams. Some people want to be rich, dreaming of becoming millionaires overnight. Others want to be famous, dreaming of suddenly jumping to great fame. I have a lot of dreams,too. When I was a young girl, I dreamed of becoming a scientist like Hua Luogen in future.However, I knew very well that I could not succeed without painstaking efforts. So I studied hard in the middle school and college in order to attain my goal.After graduating from college, I found a job as a teacher.Although I was very busy with teaching, I never gave up my goal. I read a lot of books to get more knowledge. I made experiments to practise and apply what I had learnt from the books. Sometimes, I was so deeply indulged in my research that I forgot my meals and time. Now I have made great progress. Several of my research papers have been published. The methods proposed in my papers have been proven to be valuable for the solution of some problems. I am very happy.The ladder of becoming a scientist is still far ahead, but I have climbed the first rung anyway.

My dream is to become an excellent interpreter.
When I was in Grade 1, I began to study English. At that time, I was so excited for learning a new language. Because of English, I know that America is a beautiful and polite country. From then on, I hope I can speak English very well and have chance travel to America some day.
Nowadays, English is widely spoken throughout the world. What’s more, plenty of people have realized its importance. In order to make my dream come true, I try my best and work much harder.
I start to watch America drama to practice my English. And I also read some English books now. I talk with others to practice my oral English as possible as I can. On the other hand, with the development of China, more and more people are interested in our culture. Everyone has a dream. I have a dream too. I want to be a writer just like ZhengYuanjie. Since I was a small kid it's been my dream to write books. I like ZhengYuanjie’s books best. I want to write many good books better than his. It is an especially great career for me because you don’t need special training or knowledge except the power of imagination! And I have plenty of imagination. Writing is a career you can do it everywhere, at home, in the coffee bar, in the parks, ect.
Lu Xun is also one of my favourite writers. I respect him. He is one of the most famous writers in China. He wrote a lot of literary works. He attacked the social mores in that time, and in his works, many people were known very well, such as “Ah Q”“Kong Yi ji”.
I like those writers because I also want to be a great writer like them. I like reading and writing, and I often write some articles in my free time. Though I don’t have good literary talent or a large vocabulary, I spend lots of time reading and writing to improve my writing skills.

I want a quiet home because I want to have a rest there. The house is on the grass. In front of the house, there is an apple tree. I want to have many apples to eat every autumn. I also want to play the swing at the tree. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two sitting rooms, a kitchen, a dining room and a big study. There are lots of books in the study and there is a computer in it. I can read books, surf the Internet and play computer games there.
I want a flat on the busy street. It’s close to my school. I have seven rooms. The biggest one is the sitting room. There is a TV and a comfortable armchair opposite the TV. After dinner, I sit in the armchair and watch TV. It’s very nice. I have a balcony. I can enjoy the sunshine on it.
