【How to Succeed in a Job Interview】
Nowadays, in an ever tighter job market, great importance has been attached to an interview by both the employer and the applicant. The interview, so to speak, has become indispensable for getting a satisfactory job. On the one hand, the interviewer can take advantage of the occasion to learn about the candidates, such as their work experiences, education and their personalities, so as to pick out the right candidates for the company. One the other hand, the interviewee can make use of the opportunity to get to know the job he is going to take up, the credibility of the firm to which he has applied, and the working conditions as well.
Essential as it is, the job interview is far from fearful. Well begun, half done. Excellent performance in it will enable the would-be employee secure the job. But how can one succeed in it?
First of all, the interviewee has to pay attention to his or her appearance. Though we can never judge a person by his appearance, the first impression is always where we start. Secondly, good manners are equally important. The interviewee has to be neither too proud nor too timid. Just be courteous. 在上一篇的《庖丁解�！分�，大家應該對大作文的一些框架結構模式有了一個大概的了解。如果發(fā)揮得法拿到1213還是應該不難的。但是我們對分數的要求上要歇斯底里。有必要往15，甚至是18分沖一下。
本篇中，我將結合在研究生的英語寫作課中的一些技法，以及在復習GRE寫作中的一些經驗來和大家一塊分享。并且從GRE的作文中摘出來一些詞匯量不超綱，但是句式結構很華麗的句子。讓大家的語言更接近native speaker。
詞句提升閃光點的七種武器——化腐朽為神奇
這些技巧不難，只是改動一個詞或者一個詞組就能提升你的語言的地道性。建議每篇文章用35個，可以在文章中增加閃光點。
1、強調名詞【very+名詞】
有同學說名詞的強調直接用 it is…that不就搞定了么？這里介紹的是一個更地道的用法，就是用very+名詞的形式。比如：03年溫室花朵的范文
The set of drawings above vividly depicts the destiny of a flower in different circumstances. As is shown in the first cartoon, the very flower is placed in a comfortable greenhouse which shelters it from the threatening lightening and storm.
Very一詞用的很地道，如此這樣的一個花朵，被保護起來。如果這句用強調句it is …that來寫，估計你自己把句式結構都弄亂了。有時候要長短句結合，通篇文章全都是復合句老師也會看膩的，要長短句結合，才是最好的有節(jié)奏感的文章。
2、強調動詞【do/does/did+動詞原形】
The picture does state that they will travel extensively from north to south together with their combined legs.
有同學問了，你說的這兩個強調有什么用。強調句顯得你的用詞更加地道，讓你文章的節(jié)奏感更強。庖丁解牛中的一、1也是一個強調動詞的用法。
3、 強調形容詞 副詞+形容詞
4、 定語從句的介詞前置提升
5、 當用到相同意思的詞的時候，先寫高級的用法，后寫一般的用法。
3～5這三條和在一塊說，因為要用到同一個例句。副詞+形容詞？這個我們都知道啊，還用你金翅告訴我們。這里的副詞不是一般的副詞，而是和形容詞同義的副詞。可能說的太抽象，舉一個例子，也是超級華麗的一句話，加到你的模板中。
Although live of citizens has been greatly changed，there is no denying the fact that the problem of internet，with which Chinese people are faced，becomes severely serious. 隨著人們的生活發(fā)生了巨大的變化，這個事實是不可否認的：網絡問題，中國人民所面對的這個問題，變得非常的嚴重。
3：這里用severely來強調 serious，因為兩者是同義詞，一個是副詞形式、一個是形容詞，強調的效果更強。比becomes very serious效果強的不是一倍兩倍。另建議作文中盡量少出現very，因為very是一個很主觀的詞，你要闡述你的觀點，擺事實講道理，要客觀、要有理有據。Very這個詞太主觀，基本沒有說服力。怎么提升文章的說服力，后文有交代，先別著急。
4：with which Chinese people are faced，用得非常地道，把with提前到引導詞which前，讓句子的結構平衡。如果說which Chinese people are faced with，這樣也可以，但是哪個更有技術含量大家一眼也能看出來。
5：這句話中兩次出現人們這個詞，如果你用兩個people那你真是傻到家了，讓老師感覺你的詞窮了，露怯了。所以平時多積累些同義詞，到時候盡情的賣弄吧。不要通篇都是I think ，哪怕是有一個I believe也好很多。不要在老師面前顯得你的詞匯很薄弱。這句話中，用了citizen和people，把高級的放前面，一般的放后邊，慣用法。
6、諺語的使用
有些意志品質類的文章，如果加入一句相關的諺語會讓你的文章大放光彩。但是不能直接寫句子。加一個模板句型：An ancient oriental philosopher said，諺語.一位古老東方的先哲曾經說過，…有同學說西方的諺語為什么用東方的先哲呢？比如：Where there is a will,there is a way.是西方的諺語，中國也有有志者，事竟成的語句。文化都是相通的，可以放心來用。以下是英語作文中常用的一些諺語。
7、你不得不知道的there be
there be是一個非常有用的句型，不要以為簡單句就是低級的。使用 there be 句型 ，可以將一個簡單句，馬上變成一個加入定語從句或者分詞的復雜句。通篇的簡單句、陳述句，沒有句式變換的文章是得不到高分的。如何把一個簡單句變成復合句呢？舉個例子：
Internet provides us with convenience.網絡給我們提供便利。只是一句普通的陳述句，可能不會吸引老師的眼球。如果把它變成there be的結構并且引導一個定語從句那就太給力了。there is the very Internet which provides us with convenience.要善于利用陳述句>>there be+定語從句的結構變化，多練幾遍，考試時用一次。
五大潤色作文密法——洞察細節(jié)，克敵先機
1、多使用被動句
因為你要闡述你對圖畫的觀點，你不能總用some people say，others say，這樣的句子很沒有說服力，你自己寫的時候都要懷疑一下。在一些出國類的考試的寫作中，這些都是要堅決禁止的。因為這樣一來你的文章說服力就差了，一旦文章沒有說服力，你這篇文章也就徒有其表了。怎么增強你的文章說服力呢，就是用被動語態(tài)，當作一個客觀事實來陳述。漢語中用被動句較少，多使用沒有人稱的主語或者大家人們，在英語中多使用被動句。在庖丁解牛中，那個科學統計法就用到了被動句，這里再舉個例子。
Computers have been widely used in various fields.這樣一個被動句是對事實的陳述，是一個議論文的標準格式。如果你把它改成一個主動句 We find some use of computers in various fields. 感覺就很站不住腳。舉這個例子是說明，被動句是我們的作文中應該出現的，通篇都是主動句，偶爾出現1～2個被動句會讓你的文章增色不少。在你復習作文的時候，每天改寫幾個被動句，練習一下，不要到考場上現想。臺上一分鐘，臺下十年功。
2、時態(tài)要統一
由于議論文是要闡述你的觀點，很少涉及動作發(fā)生的時間，所以寫作中時態(tài)的運用很有限。最常使用的是一般現在時，其次是一般將來時和現在完成時，再次是一般過去時和現在進行時，其它時態(tài)用的相對不多。我寫作的時候習慣是一般現在時，但要注意事態(tài)的統一，不要一會一般現在時，一會一般過去時，那樣你的作文就徹底沒高分了。
3、高級詞匯的使用
在上一個帖子中寫過一些這方面的東西但是不多，詞匯的多變是考試評分標準中的一項，平時多積累一些同義詞是大有好處的，這里給大家一個文檔，對閱讀中常見的同義詞進行總結，讓大家笑傲考場。
4、避免使用口語體得縮略形式
這個是書面英語和口語的一個大區(qū)別，大家千萬要注意。比如It＇s，can＇t，what＇s more（第二段連接用），CEO（舉比爾蓋茨的那個例子的時候用的）這些縮略語都是不正式的書面英語，大家在寫作中一定要避免，要寫成 It is，can not，what is more，Chief Executive Officer，既然往18分沖擊就要嚴格要求自己。
5、書寫工整
英語作文評分細則的第一項就是書寫工整。如果你的書法不好，那盡量寫的整齊，寫的像漢語拼音最好，起碼清楚，不要龍飛鳳舞的。研究生英語課老師點評我們作文的時候就說，有的同學的英語字母y和g那個勾拐得太大了，顯得你的單詞很亂。和大家共勉，我的書法也不是很好，最近也在練字。
