　　我以前聽說在小學3年級的時候要學英語。我想啊，我又不去英國，干什么學英語啊？現(xiàn)在，我要學英語了，我聽老師和爸爸媽媽說，英語是全球的通用語言，學好了才能和外國的友人交流溝通。我重視英語了，并決心要學好它。今天就是我的第一次英語課，我是既緊張又興奮。

　　上課時，老師給我們說：“需要購買錄音機和磁帶作為輔助工具�！被氐郊依镂揖图泵o爸爸媽媽說了需要錄音機和磁帶的事情。媽媽告訴我：“輔助工具很重要，但是上課專心聽講更加重要�，F(xiàn)在我們?nèi)ベI吧�！�

　　錄音機和磁帶買回來了，媽媽告訴我怎么使用。我就打開錄音機開始聽起來了：先背著書聽一遍，然后背著書跟讀一遍，最后我看著書跟讀一遍。現(xiàn)在該我關(guān)了錄音機讀課文了，我一看課文，呀，我只能勉強用英語說出課文中人物的名字，其他的就不知道怎么讀了。這可把我急壞了，恨不得把書給撕了。媽媽安慰我說：“不要著急，事情需要一步一步的來完成，著急是沒有用的。我們換個方式來練習一下？”媽媽和我就象課文里的人物一樣來對話，介紹自己的名字和打招呼。幾遍下來，我發(fā)覺我漸漸可以完全讀課文了，這個方法真不錯！

　　讀完了課文，該聽寫了。我先看看單詞表吧，哇！有的單詞字母好多，我得好好記清楚，字母少的'就看一遍。開始聽寫了，糟糕，我只顧去記字母多的單詞，字母少的反而沒有記住。不管了，這些不知道的單詞胡編亂造也要寫完。由于剛才一著急，字母多的單詞也忘記了一些，只好空在那里了，最后錯了不少。第二次也好不到哪里去。第三次了，媽媽說，再不全對的話，就把每個單詞抄寫一篇。這次我一定要認真記牢，反復在心里默寫幾遍，做到萬無一失，要不然，罰抄每個單詞一篇可不是好玩的。這次我滿懷信心了，當然也全部正確了。

　　今天，我初次接觸英語，也是經(jīng)歷了一些曲折吧。從中我也體會到，學習不同的東西需要用不同的方式去對待，但是，有一點少不了，那就是刻苦！

The origin of such celebrations dates back to antiquity and is in the dawn of religious feeling and awe for what trees represented. However, Arbor Day, as it is commonly known today, is of American origin and evolved from conditions peculiar to the Great Plains. It was first observed in Nebraska in 1872.

　　The idea, conceived by J.S. Morton, then a member of the Nebraska State Board of Agriculture, was one of forest conservation. It was a move to promote replanting, following deforestation, and to plant up treeless areas.

　　The idea has spread widely to other lands where it is variously celebrated as the 'Festival of Trees', 'Greening Week' of Japan, 'The New Year's Days of Trees' in Israel, 'The Tree-loving Week' of Korea, 'The Reforestation Week' of Yugoslavia, 'The Students' Afforestation Day' of Iceland and 'The National Festival of Tree Planting' in India.
