　　Since I go to middle school, I have to learn many subjects. Though I am not the best student in class, but I won’t give up. If they fail one time, then they will doubt the effort they have made. Actually, we are not studying in vain. What we learn will be a great help to improve ourselves. 　　Far and away the most important holiday in China is Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese New Year. To the Chinese people it is as important as Christmas to people in the West. the dates for this annual celebration are determined by the lunar calendar rather than the GREgorian calendar, so the timing of the holiday varies from late January to early February.

　　To the ordinary Chinese, the festival actually begins on the eve of the lunar New Year’s Day and ends on the fifth day of the first month of the lunar calendar. But the 15th of the first month, which normally is called the Lantern Festival, means the official end of the Spring Festival in many parts of the country.

　　我們中國最重要的節(jié)日是春節(jié),也被稱為中國的新年。中國人民是西方人的圣誕節(jié)一樣重要。這個一年一度的慶典的日期是由農(nóng)歷而不是公歷,所以假期的時間從一月底到二月初而異。

　　其實普通中國人,節(jié)日實際上開始于農(nóng)歷新年前夕和結(jié)束的.第五天農(nóng)歷的第一個月。但是第一個月的15日,通常被稱為元宵節(jié),春節(jié)意味著正式結(jié)束在這個國家的許多地區(qū)。
