　　We are always educated that animals are our friends and we should protect them. Most families have kept dogs as their pets, some moving stories often happen between these lovely dogs and their owners. The famous movie Hachi tells about a dog spends a lifetime to wait for his master, who had died of heart attack. Recently, it has been reported that a little girl was saved from the earthquake because of her dog’s protection. Dogs are our loyal friends and they deserve our respect. Some people kill dogs and enjoy eating the dog meat, they have been criticized strongly. Protecting animals is saving our human being, the balanced of nature won’t be broken.

　　I got up late this morning and went to school without feeding my cats。When I came home in the afternoon， the cats almost starved to death。 They circled around me and crying for food。 I took one fish out and threw it to the cats。 I wanted to see who was the first one to catch the fish。 Mother cat held it in her mouth and nm away quickly。 She didn't eat it， but put it down， then called her children there。 The four starving little cats began to devour the fish， but their mother just stayed there looking at them tenderly，without eating a little bit。 On seeing that， I thought of my mother。 She often does everything for me selflessly。 This is a mother's love， I think。

　　Russian Scientists Surrounded by Polar Bears

　　Relief supplies finally arrived on a remote Arctic island where a group of scientists had been trapped in a weather station. Up to a dozen polar bears had surrounded the station on the island of Troynoy and set up camp approximately two weeks ago. The bears were becoming more aggressive over time, killing one of the station's dogs and breaking a window. On Wednesday, a helicopter that picked up supplies from a nearby vessel arrived with dogs and flares and was able to scare away the bears and allow the researchers to get back to work.
