In 1949 my hometown was liberated. since then great changes have taken place there. the streets have been widened. factories, schools, hospitals, cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. the life of the people is greatly improved.
I love my hometown. all the more i love its people. they are working hard so as to make it still richer and more beautiful.

But ,what I really decide to do is that I must make good of anytime I can spare though it seems impossible. While, I will do my best to live up with what I have planned, and the result will prove it.

英語課時(shí)，我們學(xué)了人體五官，吳老師突發(fā)奇想――讓我們畫五官。
吳老師拿著紙走進(jìn)教室，嘴角微微一笑，說：“把這……”還沒說完，小組長已經(jīng)開始發(fā)了。同學(xué)們拿到紙，吳老師見我們一臉茫然，便興致勃勃地說：“你們要在它們的臉上 畫五官，可以任意發(fā)揮!”
“噢!知道了!”我拿著筆就刷刷畫過去了，一抬頭，見許多人沒畫好，又給小女孩添上彎彎的眉毛、彎彎的嘴角，形成一個(gè)笑臉，然后又畫了兩個(gè)馬尾辮……我再次抬起頭時(shí)，組長開始收畫紙了。
接著，吳老師開始展示我們的作品，真是千奇百怪：有的是憨厚可愛的小豬，有的是美如神仙的小姑娘，還有的是尾巴長長可愛的猴子……“哈哈!哈哈!”所有同學(xué)哄堂大笑。原來是有一位同學(xué)把小水滴的頭上畫了小辮子，眼睛睜一只閉一只，鼻子長長的，尖尖的，像一把小刀，嘴巴張的老大了，都可以塞下一個(gè)西瓜了!口水垂涎三尺的`滑稽樣子讓我們?nèi)滩蛔」笮ζ饋�。吳老師也笑得合不攏嘴，連在旁邊批作業(yè)的田老師也笑成了一朵花。我后面的同學(xué)徐陽自豪地宣布：“這是我畫的!”
這次作業(yè)實(shí)在是太有趣了，原來做作業(yè)也是有創(chuàng)意的。真希望多一點(diǎn)這樣的作業(yè)。

這個(gè)暑假我跟著爸爸去了不少地方，讓我感受最深的不是美景，而是不會(huì)說英語的遺憾。
七月份的時(shí)候，我跟著爸爸去了北京玩，我們一起看了故宮，還有天安門，非常開心，這時(shí)我看見一個(gè)外國友人走到我們面前，說了好幾句英語，我一臉迷惑的看著他，不知道他要表達(dá)什么，他看我聽不懂，又轉(zhuǎn)身找了一個(gè)，原來他是要找人幫忙照相啊。
雖然這只是一個(gè)小小的插曲，但是我卻在隨后的'日子里碰到了好幾個(gè)外國友人，可憐我不會(huì)英語，那時(shí)我就下定決心，好好學(xué)英語。
回到家后，我買了一本簡單的問候語，還有日常用語，開始學(xué)了起來，雖然過程是麻煩的，但是我還是堅(jiān)持了下來，我又買了一本單詞本，每天都背上幾個(gè)，慢慢的我感覺自己的英語水平提高了。
八月份的時(shí)候，我跟著爸爸去了天津，當(dāng)然我還是碰到了幾個(gè)外國友人，這次我主動(dòng)打了招呼，聊的很開心，外國友人直對(duì)我豎大拇指，我開心極了。
學(xué)會(huì)英語真好。
