My Favourite Great Book
My favourite great book is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain.
Tom Sawyer is a lively and clever boy. He lives with his aunt Polly. His aunt is strict with him, so he runs to an island in the middle of the Mississippi River with two friends, Huck and Joe. With Huck, he goes looking for treasure; with Becky, he gets lost in a cave. And finally Tom and Huck find a box of gold. Tom is the hero of the story, but there are other important characters. Becky is pretty with fair hair. Huck is Tom’s best friend, and Injun Joe is the bad man of the story.
The theme of the story is to do with children growing up and becoming more serious.

At the centre stand two big writing desks,with not a speck of dust but many odds and ends on ,in fact,serve as dinner tables,too.
On your right,there are two bunks for four students,while near the door is a stand for old wooden floor has lost its luster but it is y corner,even every crack,has been carefully swept.
This is the place which has been home to me and will continue to be all through my college life.

正當(dāng)我認(rèn)真聽(tīng)講時(shí)，又看見(jiàn)英語(yǔ)老師魏老師被湯梓豪氣著了，舉起已經(jīng)失去了一半身體的小棍，用憤怒的眼神一步步向湯梓豪走去。我們大家不說(shuō)話，只是一個(gè)勁地看著，準(zhǔn)備看好戲。終于，那炸雷般的尖叫聲劃破了教室里的寧?kù)o，取而代之的則是一大片哄笑。還沒(méi)笑夠呢，魏老師第二棍下去了，他又發(fā)出了凄慘的叫聲。這情景讓我想到了一幅畫(huà)面：湯梓豪就像一只流落街頭的狗，無(wú)力的趴在地上，它向路上的行人討飯吃，卻總是遭到人們的虐待。有的'視而不見(jiàn)，有的用腳狠狠的把狗踢走，還有的被狗追急了，直接拿棍子砸它……想到這些，我突然感覺(jué)湯梓豪也挺可憐的。
我沒(méi)混過(guò)神來(lái)呢，人家又做出了讓我意想不到的事情：當(dāng)魏老師往后走時(shí)，他突然狡詐的一笑，是那種皮笑肉不笑的笑，接著很連貫的拉開(kāi)衣服的拉鏈，在里邊掏啊掏，掏啊掏。我們都處在疑問(wèn)中，也不知湯梓豪到底想搞什么鬼，都目不轉(zhuǎn)睛的盯著他。終于，我們知道了實(shí)情：湯梓豪為了防護(hù)自己的身軀，竟然在英語(yǔ)課之前，往衣服里放了好多本子！而他在衣服里面掏啊掏，掏的就是本子！當(dāng)知道這一切時(shí)，全班又開(kāi)始哄笑，馬上都要把屋頂掀跑了（有點(diǎn)夸張）。不明白事情的魏老師以為我們是在看那些受傷者的笑話，厲聲喝道：“笑什么笑，都給我住嘴！顏?zhàn)酉瑁铱淳湍阈Φ米顨g！”一聽(tīng)這話，我們都立刻捂住了嘴，但想著湯梓豪的事情，還是忍不住的想笑。
