　　在過去的幾周里，我在努力的和星吧閣的多數(shù)學(xué)生家長們進(jìn)行交談。大家交流中不斷提及的話題之一，就是在家中創(chuàng)造英文環(huán)境的問題。如今我們都聽說過一些方法，比如觀看英文電影、聽英文歌曲等，但說起另一方法——用英文和他們的孩子對話，絕大多數(shù)的中國家長都不敢嘗試。主要原因，就是擔(dān)心他們這樣做會在某種程度上對孩子的外語學(xué)習(xí)造成不良的影響。家長們的擔(dān)心包括:

　　● 怕孩子會“感染”上他們可怕的口音

　　● 害怕自己混淆語法，或用錯詞語

　　● 擔(dān)心自己的詞匯量不夠用來教孩子

　　●每次家長試著和孩子用英文對話的時候，孩子表現(xiàn)抵觸的情緒，或者干脆用中文回答

　　我想和大家解釋一下，為什么我認(rèn)為這類問題是可以克服的，以及為什么我認(rèn)為在家里和孩子講英語，是家長在幫助孩子學(xué)英語的經(jīng)歷中能為他們做的最有益的事情。

　　在我和家長們開始談到講英語的時候，我發(fā)現(xiàn)用一個簡單的比喻來解釋效果不錯。如果您的孩子想學(xué)打籃球，您可以在開始的時候教他學(xué)習(xí)如何抓球。然后，教他如何彈球，以及投籃。之后，您可以教他籃球的游戲規(guī)則，甚至和孩子一起玩一下。所有這些您教的基本技能，都是孩子要打籃球比賽所必需的核心條件。一旦學(xué)習(xí)掌握并加以實(shí)踐，他就可以和其他孩子一起玩耍，同時提高自身的技能。當(dāng)和其他的孩子一起游戲的時候，通過觀摩其他的孩子，您的孩子會通過學(xué)習(xí)他人的玩法，來形成自己的游戲策略，甚至?xí)_始對自己的技法進(jìn)行創(chuàng)新。當(dāng)他從練習(xí)中以及對失誤的總結(jié)學(xué)習(xí)中表現(xiàn)越來越好的時候，他就有可能在籃球技能上超越您。

　　您在擔(dān)心自己教給孩子不地道的口音、混淆語法、或者詞匯量不夠的問題嗎？其實(shí)，讓孩子置身于這種語言環(huán)境之中，以及從能夠流利講這種語言的人那里得到反饋，遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)要比讓他實(shí)現(xiàn)完美的發(fā)音更為重要。不過，如果您的孩子學(xué)習(xí)英文達(dá)到一定的時間，他們最終將會琢磨出正確的發(fā)音。

　　想象一下，在您的孩子的大腦中，有兩種知識桶。一個桶里裝的是漢語，另一個桶里是英語。兩桶之間，是漢語和英語的混合部分和兩種語言在語調(diào)、詞匯、語法和口音等方面的重疊。開始的時候，孩子會模仿您說英文的方式，因?yàn)樗菑哪@里得到的大多數(shù)英文語言輸入。當(dāng)他們學(xué)的內(nèi)容越來越多、年齡不斷增長、同時也變得更加成熟的時候，當(dāng)聽到以英文為母語的外國人的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)發(fā)音的時候，他們就開始模仿外國人的發(fā)音，因?yàn)榇藭r孩子們能夠意識到這種發(fā)音方式是正確的。這個時候?qū)λ麄儊碚f，兩只語言桶之間將變得涇渭分明，不再有重疊混淆的領(lǐng)域。

　　所以，我們的首要目標(biāo)，應(yīng)該是實(shí)現(xiàn)英文表達(dá)的流暢度，而非完美程度。讓我問您一個問題：您寧愿自己的.孩子能夠流利的講英語呢，還是能夠準(zhǔn)確完美的說英文，但是磕磕巴巴？學(xué)習(xí)英語，是學(xué)習(xí)一種技能，而技能的掌握，是在不斷的犯錯和糾正中獲得的。這中間需要很多的練習(xí)和指導(dǎo)，而孩子們在沿途沾染一些錯誤的習(xí)慣，也不足為奇。但是，如果他們不從基本的表達(dá)技能學(xué)起，不開始積極參與這一語言游戲，要做到有朝一日流暢的說英文，是不可能的。

　　讓我告訴您去和孩子講英語是件很容易的事，但您要身體力行并養(yǎng)成這樣的一個習(xí)慣，并非易事。我可以想象一個開始的場景：您在家里對孩子講英語，而孩子表現(xiàn)抵觸，甚至認(rèn)為您在以某種殘酷的方式懲罰他們——養(yǎng)成講英語的習(xí)慣，對孩子不容易，對您來說，也不是件容易事。但我總和家長們說，為了一生的收獲，請忍住一時的淚水。

　　he was so addicted to tobacco that he couldnt even skip acigarette in the corridor at the interval between two classes. due to the long time consumption of cigarettes, his teeth had gone totally bad and occasionally let off unpleasant smell which really disturbed us when we were talking to him. at times, he came to recognize it and consequently found out a solution. he suggested we write down our problems and he answer them in the written form. although i knew all along that he was a careful man, his quotations of five different dictionaries on a single multiple choice problem was still beyond my wildest dream.

　　whats more, none of us could imagine how ecellent his ancient chinese literature was. what he tended to do in his class was to recite several segments of the famous ancient prose and then put them into english. however, under the pressure of college entrance eam, the students didnt seem to be so interested in his performance. therefore, he tried to stimulate the class by editions of times as prizes for answering questions. it worked on us instantly.

　　on the day of the entrance eam, he waited nervously with us out of the eamination room. he kept reminding us not to drink water in case that we would feel like going to toilet during the eam. not withstanding his constant claims that we students were far less important than his beloved daughter, we did feel his devotion to us.
